My Interests

Hiking
Rocky and I love hiking and the Downingtown area has lots of trails.

Bicycling
I haven't taken the time to ride for a few years. I found both my mountain and road bikes are obsolete. Downingtown is a mountain biking town with 2 parks with many miles of trails. One of the best things is that you can ride from your house to the trails. The trails at Harmony Hill are actually being designed and constructed by mountain bikers.

West Chester is a bicycling hub for the area and even has an annual Pro race. The Tour of PA will be going through Downingtown starting this year. Bike route L, listed on the PA State website, goes through West Chester and Downingtown. I have even found miles of paved trails in the area.

Kayaking
This is something I'm just starting to get into. I'm not sure if I will end up buying a kayak. Everyone in my neighborhood has one but I haven't seen any of them use them.

Playing Guitar
I find playing guitar very soothing.  I'm not good at it but it helps me relax.

Photography
I like to keep a photo journal of my vacations and trips.  I have taken a few classes and read a few books.  Check out my photography section.

Travel
Cities are amazing to visit.  I love people watching, shopping, dining, museums, and the architecture.  I also enjoy getting away from it all in the country.  Blue skies, grass and trees, painted rocks, rivers and oceans.  There isn't much I don't like!
